Accessibility Statement

An accessible site allows visitors with disabilities to browse the site with the same or a similar level of ease and enjoyment as other visitors. This can be achieved through the capabilities of the system on which the site is operating, and through assistive technologies such as screen readers, keyboard navigation, and text-to-speech software.

I'm working to bring filipparosenquist.com in line with the WCAG 2.2 Level AA guidelines. I review and improve the site through automated checks and manual testing, and I treat accessibility as an ongoing process rather than a one-off task. I don't want to claim that every barrier has been found or fixed, so this statement describes where things stand today. Steps I've taken so far include:

• Setting the language of the site
• Defining a clear, logical heading structure on every page
• Setting a sensible reading and content order
• Writing descriptive alternative text for images
• Making interactive elements usable with a keyboard, including the photo gallery and lightbox
• Giving the mobile menu and the image viewer proper focus handling
• Adding visible focus indicators, a "skip to content" link, and a "skip photo gallery" link
• Working to meet colour-contrast requirements for text and controls
• Marking the current page in the navigation
• Respecting reduced-motion preferences

Still on my list is a round of manual testing with real assistive technology, including keyboard-only use, zoom and reflow up to 400%, screen readers, and the cookie-consent experience. I'll update this statement once that's done.

Some parts of this site rely on third-party services whose accessibility I can't fully control, including the cookie-consent banner and the privacy and cookie policy documents provided by iubenda. I'm reviewing how these work with assistive technology. If you have trouble with any of them, please tell me and I'll help you get the information another way.
